International Women's Day

A joint initiative of CAPSI & ASIS

Task Force on Women Security

CAPSI has taken a significant step toward addressing the critical issue of women’s safety by establishing a dedicated Task Force on Women Security. This initiative underscores CAPSI’s commitment to creating a safer and more secure environment for women across the nation. The task force aims to develop and implement comprehensive strategies, raise awareness, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the safety and empowerment of women in all spheres of life.

Objectives of the Task Force:

Enhancing Women's Safety, Empowerment, and Equal Rights Nationwide

Enhancing Safety Measures

The task force will work with various stake holders to identify and address gaps in existing safety mechanisms for women, focusing on both physical and digital security. This includes improving surveillance, emergency response systems, and access to safety resources.

Awareness and Education

The task force will conduct workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate women about their rights, self-defense techniques, and available safety tools. It will also focus on sensitizing communities and institutions to foster a culture of respect and equality.

Policy Advocacy

By collaborating with government bodies, law enforcement agencies, and NGOs, the task force will advocate for stronger policies and stricter enforcement of laws related to women's safety. This includes pushing for better implementation of existing laws and proposing new measures where necessary.

Technology Integration

Leveraging technology to enhance women's safety is a key focus area. The task force will promote the use of safety apps, GPS tracking on a real time basis and other tech-driven solutions to provide real-time assistance to women in distress.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

The task force will partner with corporate organizations, educational institutions, and community groups to create a unified approach toward women's safety. This includes training security personnel, establishing helplines, indentifying and creating safety zones in public spaces.

Empowerment Through Skill Development

Beyond safety, the task force will work on empowering women by providing skill development programs, leadership training, and opportunities for economic independence, ensuring they feel confident and secure in all aspects of life.

Vision

The Task Force on Women Security envisions a society where women can live, work, and travel without fear. By fostering a collaborative approach and leveraging innovative solutions, CAPSI aims to create a safer and more inclusive environment for women, enabling them to thrive and contribute to the nation’s progress.

Through this initiative, CAPSI reaffirms its dedication to safeguarding women’s rights and ensuring their safety remains a top priority. The task force will serve as a catalyst for change, inspiring collective action and driving meaningful progress in the realm of women’s security.
