Task Force on Drone Warriors

The Task Force on Drone Warrior is a pioneering initiative by the (CAPSI) aimed at advancing India’s capabilities in drone technology for defense, security, and strategic applications. Recognizing the growing importance of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in modern warfare and surveillance, CAPSI has established this task force to foster innovation, research, and policy advocacy in the field of drone warfare.

Objectives of the Task Force:

Promoting Indigenous Drone Technology

Encouraging the development of homegrown drone systems to reduce dependency on foreign imports and strengthen India’s defense manufacturing under the "Make in India" initiative.

Enhancing Military & Security Applications

Exploring the use of drones for surveillance, reconnaissance, combat, and logistics support in defense operations.

Policy & Regulatory Framework

Collaborating with government agencies to shape policies that support the ethical and strategic deployment of drone technology.

Skill Development & Training

Building a skilled workforce of drone operators, engineers, and cybersecurity experts to support India’s defense ecosystem.

Public-Private Partnerships

Facilitating collaboration between the armed forces, defense startups, academia, and industry leaders to accelerate innovation.
